Central School is a Pre-K - 5th Grade school with approximately 550 students. We are centrally located in the Mamaroneck School District and are within walking distance of the Long Island Sound as well as the villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck. Our school campus boasts luscious green areas which include two baseball fields, multi-aged playgrounds, an outdoor classroom, and our very own Native Woodlands, all areas that support our students with their learning and play! 

We are a vibrant community of learners and educators dedicated to working hard and being kind! At Central School, we believe in fostering a strong sense of community among our students, families, and teachers and in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and a sense of belonging. Our rigorous academic curriculum focuses on student engagement, curiosity, and student voice. At our school, students are also exposed to a variety of learning opportunities through our music program, STEM curriculum, and clubs held both during and after our school day. Central School is committed to equity and diversity, sharing the fundamental understanding that every child deserves an equal opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our PTA is very active, sharing our belief in placing children at the heart of all that we do. They work diligently to offer our students many experiences such as our Scare Fair (not scary at all ), our annual play, the Central School Talent Show, the bike rally, and twice-yearly book fairs, just to name a few. We take great pride in our collaboration not just with the PTA but with all of our Central School families as we firmly believe that such partnerships can only have a positive impact on our students. 

We are proud to be at the helm of this very special community in the center of one of Westchester County’s most vibrant districts!
