I am thrilled to begin my tenure as Superintendent of the Mamaroneck Union Free School District, effective November 1, 2023, to work alongside colleagues who are dedicated and accomplished. It is an honor for me to join a district that values academic achievement, inclusion, innovation, and social and emotional well-being. I am a life-long educator who places high value on building relationships and trust while ensuring that all who work, learn, and partner with our schools have the opportunity to be heard.
As I step into this role, this Entry Plan (English)/(Spanish) will help guide my work to deliver sustained excellence and provide a detailed and clear outline of my transition process. I encourage you to have a look.
Prior to joining the Mamaroneck Schools, I served for 13 years as the Superintendent of the Freehold Regional High School District, during which time the district earned recognition as one of "America's Best-in-State Employers" in New Jersey by Forbes magazine. As a strong believer in collaboration and learning from fellow administrators, I assumed the role of President for the Monmouth County Superintendent's Roundtable in 2020-21 and am proud to have earned the Distinguished Service Award from the New Jersey Association of School Administrators in May 2022. I also served as President for the Garden State Coalition of Schools, an alliance of approximately 100 high-achieving New Jersey school districts committed to delivering high-quality education for all students. Prior to working in the Freehold District, I was the Superintendent of the Verona Public Schools.
Looking ahead, I am eager to create pathways of achievement for all students and for the journey that awaits.
