Since 1985, the University at Albany has hosted the Upstate Regional JSHS competition with funding from the U.S. Departments of Army, Navy, and Air Force through a grant administered by the National Science Teachers Association. The WR-JSHS sub-regional event was organized in 2002 to provide a local venue for student researchers and has grown to include more than 600 multi-grade level participants in 2020 and 340 senior only participants this year. This is the first year that WR-JSHS is being done in a virtual setting. Local Speakers presented by category; top speakers received recognition.
