School Budget Vote Registration/Voter Information
The school district budget vote and election of trustees will be held exclusively by absentee ballot. All ballots must be received no later than 5pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Registering to Vote
During the current mandated school district closure, personal voter registration may not take place in the school district. Qualified Voters may register to vote with the local County Board of Elections by completing an online application with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Please Note: Registration should be completed as soon as possible to allow allow enough time for the registration application to be processed by the Board of Elections.
What is a Qualified Voter?
In order to qualify to vote you must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, resident of the district for 30 days immediately preceding the election, and a registered voter.
Vote by Absentee Ballot
Absentee ballots will be mailed by the school district on May 26 to all qualified voters, together with a postage paid return envelope. If there is a member of your household who is a qualified voter and does not receive an absentee ballot, please notify the District Clerk at jrice@mamkschools.org and a ballot will be sent out. (June 2, 2020 is the last date that the District Clerk can mail a ballot.) All ballots are due back to the District Clerk by mail at 5 pm on Tuesday, June 9. Additionally, there will be a ballot drop box on June 9 from 7am - 5pm outside the main entrance of Mamaroneck High School.
