Strong Turnout at Last Night's Community Conversation

Thank you to the nearly 200 community members who came out to last night's community conversation on potential strategies regarding near-term enrollment/instructional space challenges. The feedback we are getting is that the format of the evening -- small group discussions facilitated by Board members and administrators, followed by individual comments in the Hommocks Auditorium --  provided attendees the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation and feel that their voices were heard.

Additionally, community input is extremely valuable to the Board as it moves forward in determining potential near-term solutions (for September).  On Tuesday, Feb. 27, Board members will have the chance to publicly discuss the feedback from the community conversation, as well as the hundreds of emails and letters they have been receiving and reading over the past several weeks.

If you were unable to attend last night's meeting, but would like to weigh in on the benefits and challenges to the short-term strategies proposed to date, please click the link below for a community survey that you can submit electronically. Or, as always, you can email the Board at board@mamkschools.org.

Thank you again for engaging in this important conversation!
