Community Conversation in the Hommocks Library, 7 PM TONIGHT, Tuesday, February 6th


We hope you will join the Board of Education trustees and our District central administrators tonight as we collectively share ideas and evaluate various near-term strategies to address growing enrollment and space challenges.


Tonight's meeting will be divided into three parts:


1.      Introduction and Overview, Hommocks Library

2.      Small group discussions (facilitated by Board members and administrators) and completion of a tool to collect community members' thoughts about the benefits and challenges of various near-term options

3.      Individual comments, Hommocks Auditorium –Traditional meeting format.  We do not anticipate extensive Q&A or full Board discussion.  As per our Board operating procedures, comments will be time limited


What Comes Next? - We will resume with our traditional format at our February 27th meeting.  This will be the Board's first opportunity to discuss various scenarios and our thoughts about the questions and comments we have been receiving. We anticipate we will have additional data about registration available to us in March, therefore it is unlikely that the Board will make a decision on potential near-term solutions until March or later.


Our goal is to hear and consider all perspectives.  We are very appreciative of the many thoughtful letters and emails we have received.  We read every one.
