Student Transportation Applications for the 2008-09 school year

 

 

Applications for transportation for the 2008-09 school year to public, private and parochial schools must be submitted to each student’s school district by Tuesday, April 1, 2008.

 

Under New York State Education Law, non-city public school districts are required to provide transportation to students residing within the district who are attending public, private or parochial schools within certain limits: For children in grades K-8, the distance between the child’s residence and the school of choice must be more than two but less than fifteen miles. For children in grades 9-12, the distance between the child’s residence and the school of choice must be more than three but less than fifteen miles.

 

Parents and guardians should call the Transportation Department of their School District for more information.
