Tryouts

Mamaroneck's policy of participation is one of taking as many individuals as possible on a team. Athletic participation is seen as an important part of the overall educational program. However, sometimes it is not possible to keep everyone that comes out for a team and as a result, tryouts are necessary for selecting team membership (see program philosophy).

Tryouts for all of Mamaroneck's Interscholastic Athletic Teams will last a minimum of three (3) days. All students will be given the opportunity to tryout. Students who do not make a team must be given an opportunity to learn why they were not selected. Coaches must provide students with this information if requested.
