  • District at a Glance

Our school district is located directly on the Long Island Sound in the southern part of Westchester County between the cities of New Rochelle and Rye, about 23 miles northeast of New York City. The district's 9 miles include the village of Larchmont, almost all of the Town of Mamaroneck, and half of the Village of Mamaroneck. The community's 35,000 residents have a long history of support for the schools.

Our four elementary schools all have the same curriculum, emphasize individual learning, and offer a variety of teaching styles. Our elementary schools, Chatsworth Avenue, Central, Mamaroneck Avenue and Murray Avenue, are K-5 schools. Computers are in every classroom and both technology and the arts are integrated into the curriculum. Well equipped library-media centers supplement classroom work.

Our middle school, Hommocks, is a 6-7-8 school.  Mamaroneck High School serves grades 9-12.
