Downloading and Recording with Audacity

1. Downloading Audacity

2. In File, Preferences, deselect the edit toolbar (simplify the look):
   
   
3. In Quality, set  the MP3 bitrate to around 32 (that's about as low as you can get before you get weird echoes:
   
   
   
   
4. Most of the time you will want to save a recording as an MP3:
   
   
   
   
5. The first time you do this, you will be prompted for the "Lame.dll" file. Find it and you're golden.
