Editing Video with Windows MovieMaker
Open Windows
MovieMaker. From the Start menu, it may be here:

If the
storyboard on MovieMaker looks like the one on the left
(no little boxes between frames):

then you should upgrade to version 2.0. You can get that
here.
Using it is as
easy as 1,2,3. Start by either capturing video from a camcorder or importing
video from a file you have already saved somewhere:
If you import video, it will analyze the file for clips:

Drag video onto
the storyboard at the bottom of the MovieMaker window:

In the preview
window, splice video by clicking on the
button.
Add transitions, special effects, titles. Then save.
Note: Saving the project saves the settings you have created while editing. MovieMaker will still need to access the original video file. To save your work as a video, select "Save to my computer."
