Software Acquisition Process

• Complete the online Software Request Form.  Once you submit the form a copy will be emailed to you,  your building principal, and Ed Cofino (who will obtain and forward the necessary ordering information to the building principal).

• The principal will review software requests and decide how to dispense the building's software budget. The following points will consider when reviewing software requests:

All software should support the curriculum and instructional program.

All software expenditures are a part of the building’s software allotment for the school year.

The software must be compatible with our system.  

Approved software (i.e. network versions, building licenses etc.) whose cost exceeds the building budget will be considered for additional funding through other technology budget lines.

• Once approved by the building principal, Ed Cofino will have a purchase order processed through the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction's office). 
        
• All software will be shipped to the building’s library and will be cataloged by the library teacher.  A technician from IT will be notified by the library teacher when software is received.  The technician will install it and the original software will be housed in the library.
