Then She Was Gone
By Kaitlyn 5th Grade

Her life is gray gloom,
The girl who stands alone,
Attached to strings,
Being controlled by the sky,
Invisible to everyone,
Days pass by,
With no one to love her,
Then, she was gone,

Disappeared into gray gloom.

Thunderstorm By Tory S. 5th Grade

Boom! You hear the thunder as it crackles up in the clouds.
Then the lightning streaks across the sky,
The rain comes, platter, platter on the rooftops.
The wind howls.
The trees blow,
And the moon shines.
The sounds and the sights mix together to make…
a thunderstorm.

I Am The Dove By Emily P. 4th Grade

I am a slow, and sad dove, flying two tiny steps above a sandy beach. I look at my life, floating
                                                                     Down,
                                                              Down,

                                                                                   Down,
Into the mossy green oceans of Bay head New Jersey.
My white snowy wings hanging by my side, not trying to flop down, but doing so. I try to fly away from my problems, but they keep on flopping back to me. I cannot hide what is inside of me. Then I say to myself, “Why do things always happen to me?”
I am o so lonely.

Season Sundae
By Kaitlyn 5th Grade

Vanilla ice cream as the white soft snow dropping to the ground, big scoops and little scoops into the bowl,
Sun melts like butterscotch into the bowl, in summer time, the hot butterscotch melts into the bowl, to the bottom,
The colors from fall, red, yellow and green, they are M and M’s dropping into the bowl,
And last, the spring worms, crawling into the bowl, the are gummy worms, squirming around, taking a bath in ice cream, butterscotch and M and M season Sundae.

One Beautiful Day By Tory S. 5th Grade

The sun is shining.
The grass is moist.
The temperature is just right.
There’s not a cloud in the sky.
The flowers have bloomed.
The trees have grown leaves.
The birds chirp.
The animals sniff around.
The kids run and play,
The adults watch them.
Then it gets cooler.
The sky turns darker.
The sun sets as the moonrises.
The moonshines the sun is down...
One beautiful day was born.
